The Pedersoli factory tang sight works OK, but if you get seriously into long-range shooting you'll want one that has finer adjustment built into it. Fit and finish are decent and it functions well. I haven't shot a full-sized Chiappa Sharps, but our Daly Little Sharps is a Chiappa gun (17HMR) and we haven't found anything we don't like about it. Some of the recent Chiappa (Armi-Sport) models (probably Cimarron imports) have been showing forearms with a new, more-correct shape. I worked mine over a bit, but don't have enough wood there to do much and may eventually re-stock the entire gun and add another inch of pull length while I'm at it. They tend to be curved in profile on the bottom sides, where most of the original Sharps rifles were pretty straight. My only major gripe is that Pedersoli and most of the other Italian replicas didn't get the shape of the forearms quite right. Mine is a Pedersoli and though not as nice as those from Shiloh and C.
